Transfers
Stock → Transfers records stock moving from one of your places to another. The count at each end stays right while the goods are on the road.
What this is for
- Sending 50 mouse pads from your Jaipur warehouse to your Bengaluru warehouse.
- Topping up the place that sends online orders.
- Fixing an order that shows Needs stock moved (see Locations & warehouses).
If you have only one place, the page tells you there is nowhere to move stock to yet. Add a warehouse, shop or partner place first.
Make a transfer
Start it
Select Stock → Transfers → Create transfer. Under Route pick the Origin and the Destination. They must be different places.
Add the products
Search under Products and add each variant, then type the Quantity. Next to it you see how many are available at the origin. Add a note, such as the carrier or tracking number.
Save the draft
Select Save draft. Nothing has moved yet. You can edit a draft, or delete it; deleting a draft does not touch stock.
Mark it as shipped
When the goods leave, select Mark as shipped. The stock leaves the origin and shows as incoming at the destination. A shipped transfer can no longer be edited.
Receive it
When it arrives, select Receive transfer. The stock is now on hand at the destination.
A transfer is numbered like #T12 and is Draft, In transit or Received.
