Growth

Growth (previously called Marketing) answers one question: where are your sales coming from? Instagram, Google, WhatsApp, AI assistants like ChatGPT, or shoppers who typed your address straight into their browser.

What this is for

  • Seeing which of your posts, ads or broadcasts actually turn into sales, not just clicks.
  • Building a tagged link for your Instagram bio, a WhatsApp broadcast or an influencer, so that traffic shows up under the right source instead of “Direct” or “Other”.
  • Sending email and WhatsApp campaigns, and setting up automations that run on their own (abandoned-checkout reminders, win-back messages).

What marketing earned

The top of the Growth overview says what your own marketing brought in for the dates you pick: “Campaigns, automations, discounts and links brought in ₹92,500 in the last 30 days”.

  • Sales from growth: orders that came from one of your campaigns or automations, used a discount code, or came through one of your short links, with the change against the period before. Cancelled orders and drafts don’t count.
  • Messages sent (WhatsApp and email), Automation orders and Subscribers (with how many joined this week).
  • What marketing earned splits that money four ways (campaigns, automations, discount codes, links), with each one’s orders, its share and the top performer, like “Top: DIWALI10 · ₹15,000”. One order can come from a campaign email and a code; it shows under both, but the total counts it once.

Sales by source

The Growth overview’s main table groups every session and order into a source a shopper would recognise: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google, WhatsApp, AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and similar), Email, Direct, or Other. Each row shows sessions, orders, sales and a share-of-sales bar; select a row to see the campaigns and tagged links that made it up. A callout above the table calls out your best-performing source for the selected date range.

Prefer the older channel groupings (organic search, paid social, and so on)? Switch the By source / By channel toggle above the table.

A source only shows up once a shopper’s visit or order carries that source. Untagged links read as Direct, even if you shared them on social media. Use Links below to tag anything you share.

Common problems and fixes

ProblemWhy it happensFix
Everything shows as DirectLinks you shared were not tagged.Build tagged links on the Links page and re-share them.
A social platform shows as OtherThe visit’s UTM tags or referrer did not match a known platform.Use the Links page instead of pasting a bare URL.
No sessions at allThe store is new, or tracking was switched on recently.Sessions are only counted from when tracking started; give it a few days.
An AI assistant’s traffic looks smallAssistants often summarise your page without the shopper clicking through, or block the referrer.Treat this as a floor, not the full picture; tagged links you post yourself are still the most reliable count.

FAQ

What happened to Marketing?

It’s the same section, renamed to Growth and reorganised around sources instead of only channels and campaigns. Old links to /marketing still work and redirect here.

Does this call out to Instagram, Google or WhatsApp?

No. Growth only reads UTM tags on your own links and the referring site your shopper’s browser sent, both from your own storefront’s visits. It never contacts any of these companies.

Can I save my tagged links for later?

Yes. Every link you make in Growth → Links stays there with its clicks, orders and revenue, and you can edit or delete it from its ⋯ menu.
